Europa Jupiter System Mission Instrument Workshop - 07.23.2009

The Europa Jupiter System Mission Instrument Workshop was held from July 15 to July 17 at Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory. The event was sponsored by NASA and hosted by JPL and APL. Over 300 people (PDF, 69 KB) from the science, instrument, and engineering communities attended representing over 100 organizations from over 10 countries.

Presentations at the workshop covered:

• Mission, science, and spacecraft overviews
• The challenges of systems engineering, radiation, and planetary protection
• Approaches to these challenges
• Guiding concepts and process of the NASA and ESA AO’s
