Community

The Outer Planets Assessment Group (OPAG) is NASA's community-based forum designed to provide science input for planning and prioritizing outer planet exploration activities for the next several decades. It is chartered by NASA's Solar System Exploration Division and reports its findings at meetings of the Solar System Exploration Sub-Committee of the NASA Space Science Advisory Committee. Open to all interested scientists, OPAG regularly evaluates outer solar system exploration goals, objectives, investigations and required measurements on the basis of the widest possible community outreach. >>

The Outer Planets Colloquium Series is a collaboratively planned program of visits by planetary scientists to university campuses and research institutions, and is designed to raise awareness of current research in outer solar system science.Participation is open to two- and four-year undergraduate colleges, and to research institutions throughout the United States. The Series is specially designed for host institutions that have planetary science research programs and the commitment to make the necessary local arrangements. >>

ESA Cosmic Vision 2015-2025: Ten to twenty years from now, a succession of clever new spacecraft will need to be ready to fly in ESA's continuing Science Programme, now called Cosmic Vision. They will tackle some of the big scientific questions that are high on the agenda of research across Europe (and, indeed, worldwide) concerning the Universe and our place in it. >>
